Best Western Plus Lex Cebu Review
For our first time in Cebu City, we chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Lex. Of all the Cebu hotels I found at Agoda, this hotel seemed to offer the best comfort that matched our budget.
The driveway was smaller than I had expected and the hotel is located at the corner of a road. The lobby was very pleasant and we were greeted with welcome drinks. Here’s Gab with his Mango Juice.
I was delighted to see that we had scored a corner room! The windows were from the floor to ceiling which provided a really nice view of the city. It was our first time in Cebu City so it was nice to get a view of the places that surrounded the hotel from our room. I don’t know if we just got lucky or if all Deluxe suites were actually corner rooms.
The room arrangement was good and spacious. The bed and linen quality was as expected and looked comfortable. Nothing extraordinary but I definitely liked it.
Did I mention there was a TV in the bathroom? This is completely separate from the room’s television set and has its own remote control (which I got scared of getting wet while taking a bath).
We had both in-room dining for dinner and the buffet breakfast the next day. With the many food establishments surrounding the hotel, they did their best to compete with good pricing. I’m not sure if it was because I was used to Manila rates but I found the private dining prices to be quite affordable.
For in-room dining, we had the chicken fajitas which was delicious! I even ordered additional tortillas to enjoy it more.
The buffet breakfast felt a little weird at first because they rearranged the lobby into a buffet room. The hotel restaurant is quite small so I guess this was how they normally handled it. Nevertheless, the breakfast selection was plentiful and very good. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and happily stuffed myself.

The hotel had an infinity pool and small gym at the rooftop. We were able to swim at night before dinner. The water was very cold but we had the pool to ourselves while the other half of the area was being used for movie viewing via projector to guests who were dining al fresco. It was delightfully night swimming + movie viewing + a few of the city.
Pricing and Value
I truly believe I got value for my money at this hotel. It was in a great location and I definitely felt like I got my money’s worth. Again, I’m not sure if I’m just used to Manila rates but it felt great for just 4,437PHP (~99.23USD) per night.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at the Best Western Plus Lex. We knew no one in Cebu and definitely did not know our way around so we asked the hotel to bring us to the airport for just 600PHP (~13.37USD) on our last night. Check out was a bit slow and I think that was the weakest point of the whole experience.
The next time I’m in Cebu, this hotel will definitely be my top choice to stay in.
